This collaboration was a special project between my brushes and photographer/filmmaker Wout Kroon.

Wout reached out to me with a special request: to paint one of his photographs for a very important person in his life.

Wout and Judith are soulmates who travel around the world, capturing beauty through their lenses, creating films and presentations, and helping young people like me.

So I felt truly honoured to become part of this project — a birthday present for Judith.

My goal is not just to paint a scenery, but to capture the memory of a place, the feelings, and the secret essence of the experience itself.

The original photograph was taken on the Lofoten Islands, a place I have visited myself, so the connection to this landscape felt very close to me.

This collaborative artwork was created as a one-of-a-kind original piece for Judith.
